Kauravas and Pandavas to start learning from guru Dronacharya in Star Plus' Mahabharat

With the introduction of guru Dronacharya, the trainer of the princes, Mahabharat (Swastik Productions), the grand-scale show on Star Plus, will now see a new phase in the epic saga.
As seen in the previous episode, young Duryodhan had tried to poison Bheem with the help of his uncle Shakuni (Praneet Bhatt). But returning from the dead, Bheem will now inform his family that it was his cousin who poisoned him.
His astounded mother, Kunti (Shafaq Naaz) will decide to leave the palace along with her children but she will be stopped by the elders. As a consequence to what happened, an enraged Bhism (Arav Chaudhary) will announce that Duryodhan should be punished for his ill deed. He will ask King Dhrithrashtra (Thakur Anoop Singh) to call the nyaya samiti (justice group) to decide on the right punishment for his son.
But the king, being too fond of his son, will request Bhism to forgive Duryodhan saying that he will take the punishment on his behalf. This is when Bhism will declare that since the father-son bond is too strong, he will separate them as a punishment. He orders that the Kaurava and the Pandava lot will have to go away from the kingdom and educate themselves in the ashram of guru Dronacharya.
The thought of the 12 year separation will initially hurt Dhrithrashtra so much that he will not want his son to go but bearing the consequences of his son’s mistake, the king will finally relent.
It is from here that the journey of the princes and their learning of their extraordinary skills will begin.

Jai Maa Vindhyavasini's season 2 to have a new title...Dil Dosti Dua

Channels and production houses coming up with the second season of their daily soaps seem to be the latest trend in the television industry, few examples being Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon (Star Plus) and Punar Vivah (Zee TV).
The latest show to join this seasonal bandwagon is Big Magic’s Jai Maa Vindhyavasini. Well as per a reliable source, the first season of Jai Maa Vindhyavasini went off-air on 6 November, 2013, as the channel failed in their programming strategies.
“While, this show was a love story, most of the people mistook it to be a spiritual drama. In fact, the channel realized it only when their Jai Maa Vindhyavasini host Ridhi Dogra and Raqesh Vashisth went on to talk about it being a spiritual show at a press conference held a couple of months ago,” said a source.
Therefore, the makers are coming back with its second season which will be called Dil Dosti Dua.
This will be a love story with Shiv (Shashank Sethi) and Gauri (Divya Mallik) playing the lead yet again. In addition, Zoya Khan joins in as Tulika to create a love triangle. But this time the lead couple will be seen as aspiring singers who will come down to Mumbai to fulfill their dreams.
Interestingly, the show that belonged to Khalome Media earlier is being currently produced by Big Productions.
Excited about the launch of season 2, Divya Mallik aka Gauri states, “Love Dosti Dua takes the story ahead to a new city with a whole lot of new characters thus adding more entertainment to the viewers. We are looking forward to the reaction of the audience; hope we receive the same kind of adulation for the new season as well.”
Avers Shashank Sethi aka Shiv, “The new storyline gives me a lot of scope to explore various emotions. As the story progresses, the audience will connect with my character when they see a part of themselves in me.”
Commenting on the show, Business Head, Big Magic Sunil Kumaran observes, “Love Dosti Dua encapsulates the aspirations of youth today. At Big Magic it is our constant endeavour to offer an eclectic programming mix that is inclusive of a larger audience base. I am sure audiences will love the new avatar of the show and will relate to it even better. The introductions of new characters and their quirks will undoubtedly up the entertainment quotient of the show.”
Talking about her role in Love Dosti Dua, an elated Zoya Khan says, “I am really excited about my role in the show; I complete the love triangle. It’s overwhelming that I have got an opportunity like this so early in my career.”
Love Dosti Dua will premiere on Monday, 11 November at 8:30 pm.

Rithvik Dhanjani's "attire repeat" act

It’s a known fact that celebs and specially actors are very conscious about their looks and styling. They spend hours decking up in order to look picture perfect for an award show or a party or a media event. And one thing that they don’t want to do is to repeat their attires.
But at times, even actors are humans and tend to tread over the fashion faux pass line. Something similar happened with television’s latest chikna heartthrob, Rithvik Dhanjani (Pavitra Rishta and Nach Baliye).
It seems that after shooting for countless hours, the actor is left with no time at all to think about his attires. And why do we say so? Well he committed the social blunder of appearing in two different events wearing the same outfit (issshhhhhhh).
Check the pic above. Rithvik is seen wearing the white colour blazer paired with a blue check shirt at the Twelfth Indian Telly Awards. He is seen posing happily with his lady love, Asha Negi.
And Rithvik was spotted wearing the same outfit again at Zee TV’s and Chennai Express’ recent success bash (this time again with Asha).
Hmm Rithvik…why the blunder? It might be that he is in love with the dress or is it his lucky attire?
Whatever be it, next time keep your clothes in check. However, we would like one thing never to change in your picture, and that’s your lady love in your arms. Keep that frame intact forever.
And as they say…bade bade shehron mein aisi chhoti chhoti baatein hoti rehti hai….so better luck the next time!!!

Sunil Bohra's "costly" Bachelorette India visit

Producer Sunil Bohra and Mallika Sherawat share what he calls a dard ka rishta. Sunil flew down all the way to Udaipur to participate in the grand finale of his buddy Mallika Sherawat’s self-marriage show The Bachelorette India (Life OK).
Says Sunil emotionally, “It was the least I could do. I am one of her few friends in the film industry. I’ve known her from the time she came to Mumbai and was then called Reema Lamba. We hit it off instantly. Somehow, Mallika has continued to trust me since then.”
Sunil’s BMW suffered heavy losses when he flew down for her.
“My BMW broke down because of the inferior-quality petrol in Udaipur. I’ve lost Rs.12 lakh on the car. I think I should ask Mallika to reimburse me from her fee for the show,” he jokes.
Sunil says Mallika specially requested him to fly down to be part of the show’s grand finale.
“I was very busy. But I couldn’t say no to her. I can never refuse Mallika. She just has to call me and I’ll be there,” says Sunil emotionally, adding that he would be her best friend at her “real” wedding.
Says Sunil, “Mallika seemed very serious about choosing her life partner on the show. In fact I had also been for the semi-finals where she wanted to introduce me to some of her suitors. To be honest I found some of them to be utterly unworthy of Mallika.”
Apparently Sunil was openly abusive of the marital aspirations nursed by some some contestants in Mallika’s show.
“I mean, how could they even think of marrying Mallika? I think she has made up her mind about whom to marry on the show,” says Sunil.

Delnaaz Irani finds love...again (Gossip)

Beautiful and gracious Delnaaz Irani is in love!!!
Let’s all congratulate and wish her happiness as the veteran actress is all set to settle down in life, again.
Delnaaz, as we all know, was earlier married to actor Rajev Paul but later they split after staying together for 14 years. Later the estranged couple participated (much to everyone’s shock) in Colors’ voyeuristic show Bigg Boss.
Now, usually people find it difficult to get into a relationship after an ugly spat with their ex but Delnaaz has been lucky as she has found solace in boyfriend Percy.
Percy is not from the industry but the two have been dating from quite some time now (even before Delnaaz went inside the Bigg Boss house). However, she kept it a hush-hush affair and only recently she has been spotted with Percy at parties and events. It seems finally Delnaaz is coming out in open about her new found love and we won’t be surprised if she gets married again in the months to come.
Check the picture above. Percy is standing cosily and happily beside Delnaaz with good friends Aashka Goradia and Rohit Bakshi.
When we contacted Delnaaz to ask more about the relationship, she said, “I don’t want to talk about my personal life.”
We absolutely understand Delnaaz, but we wish you a happy and blessed life ahead.
The actress is currently seen in Sony Entertainment Television’s Jee Le Zara!!!

Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande to wed this December?

Love is a beautiful emotion and one who has experienced it, is truly blessed.
Talking about love, Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande are two souls who have been unified by strings of love and affection for years together.
The inseparable love-birds was hit by Cupid’s arrows on the sets of Balaji Telefilms’ popular show on Zee TV,Pavitra Rishta. The couple initially was a bit reluctant to come out in open about their relationship, but later they both participated in Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa (when it aired on Sony) and on the stage Sushant proposed Ankita and professed his love for her in front of the entire world.
Since then time has flown but they both are tight as ever. Sushant is now a famous Bollywood celeb and at an age and sentiment when new found stardom, glory and money can break even strongest of relationships, Sushant is commitment personified and his love for Ankita is unbound.
“Sushant and Ankita are very sorted as a couple. And Sushant is very lonely as a person. He needs the love and care of Ankita no matter where he reaches. They both come from a middle class background and their values are still intact in them. They know that everything else is transient, but their love and care for each other is permanent,” said a friend close to the couple.
Great bonding…indeed!!!
And now, the inside news is that Sushant and Ankita have decided to take their love story to the next level. A little birdie whispered to us that they will be getting married sometime this December (2013).
However, the source also went on to tell us that though Sushant and Ankita want to settle in life post their advancements in their professional careers, the marriage which is most likely to take place this year might get postponed to next year.
Career wise, as we mentioned, Sushant the boy-next-door of television has spread his wings successfully in Bollywood with his two releases, Kai Po Che and Shuddh Desi Romance. And Ankita is busy donning a double role in Pavitra Rishta and also harbours Bollywood dreams.
May the duo live a life full of togetherness!!!

TV actors and their Takia Kalams

Each one of us use some or the other catch-phrase which later becomes a kind of patent in our lives. So do actors. While we stay inquisitive as to which sentence do our favourite actors speak; Tellychakkar.com talks to a few television actors on the Takia Kalams they use in their real lives.
  Apurva Agnihotri:
It has to be the same which I kept saying in my stint at Bigg Boss 7 (Colors)                 and that is ‘Tel Lagane Jaa!’
  Karan Mehra:
Hmm…generally I say ‘Hey Bhagwan’ or ‘Hey Ram’ if I have something to say.
  Rithvik Dhanjani:
Hmm… in English I have this habit of mentioning Yo Boy! while talking to people,           while in Hindi, I say Aai Hai Meri Jaan. But I use the second one more frequently             than the first while talking to people though.
  Arjun Bijlani:
Interesting! In English I tend to say ‘You know something’ before I starting uttering           any sentence while in Hindi it would be ‘Abe yaar sun naa’.
   Kratika Sengar:
I would not mention the takia kalaam that I use but whatever I do; I tend to spell              it out the word.
  Asha Negi:
You know what? I often say ‘Mein toh thak gayi’ in a very sad tone.
  Vrinda Dawda:
I use a lot of patent words such as ‘Areey’ while starting a sentence and ‘OMG! ’            instead of exclaiming Oh My God!
  Shrenu Parikh:
Whenever I am frustrated, I often burst out saying ‘Life mein ab thodi si struggle toh         rahegi’.

Despite threat calls, Nikunj Malik set to pursue showbiz dreams

Nikunj Malik's kin are against her decision to continue in the acting industry, but the actress, who will soon make her Bollywood debut with "Revolver Rani", is determined to pursue her dreams.

Nikunj Malik's kin are against her decision to continue in the acting industry, but the actress, who will soon make her Bollywood debut with "Revolver Rani", is determined to pursue her dreams.
The 26-year-old joined the TV industry in 2010 with the reality show "Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega". She went on to feature in other TV shows like "Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai" and "24".
"When I came in the industry, my father was supportive, but now he is not because of his cousins, who are against my acting career," Nikunj, who plays a Muslim girl in "Revolver Rani", told IANS in a telephonic interview from Mumbai.
"My mother is with me. She is my biggest strength. I am open to all kinds of roles, even item numbers as long as I like them. I am a qualified person, so I can make my own decisions," she added.
The Faridabad girl and her mother have been receiving threat calls from their relatives. Her mother was also assaulted by them.
When Nikunj sought help from Faridabad (in Haryana) police in July this year, she had to face disappointment.
She visited her hometown during October-end to check on the progress of her complaint filed against her father's cousins. She was surprised to find that the case had been closed without her consent.
"I went to the police station to know about the complaint and they said, they have closed the case. My father said that his brothers were right," she said.
Nikunj argues that she is an adult and "without my consent or informing me about it, how can they close it (the case)".
"Then media got involved and they finally filed an FIR. First they said, they will arrest the culprits. Now they are saying they are enquiring," said Nikunj, who has medical reports and threat call recordings as evidence.
Although she doesn't feel secure, she will continue to fight for justice.
"If the police don't cooperate, I will try and take it to a higher level like women's commission or even the chief minister. I want security for my mother and me. They are still out," said Nikunj, who hopes to take the help of media to take her voice to the authorities.
The alumna of the National Institute of Fashion Technology believes that the extended family members are creating obstacles because they don't want her to be successful.
"They can't see me progress and move ahead in my career. Somewhere they have an inferiority complex because their kids couldn't make it anywhere. Half of them are not even graduate," said Nikunj, who wants to have her own accessories line some day.
"I entered the glamour industry thinking that I will make my name first then launch a line of accessories. Once I settle in the industry, I will launch my own label some day. It will be footwear and bags. It's my dream project," she said.

"I prefer acting to hosting": Gautam Rode

For Television actor Gautam Rode, understanding a character and playing it to the best of his ability, is more important than hosting a show.

For Television actor Gautam Rode, understanding a character and playing it to the best of his ability, is more important than hosting a show.
Gautam, who will host the coming edition of celebrity dance show, "Nach Baliye 6" and is also seen in "Saraswatichandra" currently, says that he prefers acting to hosting.
"Acting and anchoring are two sides of the same coin but I prefer acting. I love playing a character and getting into the skin of it. Hosting for me is more like a stressbuster and its all about having fun. But acting is my first love and will always remain my priority," Gautam told IANS in an email interaction.
Gautam has initially been a part of music albums like "Tere Bina" by Abhijeet Bhattacharya and did TV commercials.
He then moved on to television with shows like "Baa Bahoo Aur Baby" and "Lucky" but the big break in his career came in the form of the lead role in filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's TV debut show, "Saraswatichandra".
The actor has also anchored shows like "India's Got Talent 3" and "Nach Baliye 5" as well as featured in films like "Annarth" and "Agyaat".
However, the 36-year-old still believes that his "journey has just begun".
"I believe I'm in a very good phase of my life currently. I still feel like a newcomer even today. Whenever I am doing something, I have a feeling that I am doing it for the first time and it is this excitement that keeps me alive," he said.
Anchoring is also a very important part of Gautam's career and he feels that it requires being oneself and creating a "good comfort zone".
"My funda is to be yourself. In anchoring one needs to be as comfortable as possible not only in front of the camera but also try to make the audience comfortable and feel at home . The audience, judges, contestants all need to feel part of one large family," he said.
The actor has his plate full at the moment and does not feel he has the time to take up anything right now.
"There are only thirty days in a month and I am already doing two shows - 'Saraswatichandra' and 'Nach Baliye'," he said.

Raj Singh Arora not fond of reality shows

Instead of being a fan of reality shows like "Bigg Boss", actor Raj Singh Arora says that he would like to face the camera only as an actor.

Instead of being a fan of reality shows like "Bigg Boss", actor Raj Singh Arora says that he would like to face the camera only as an actor.
"I watch 'Bigg Boss' regularly and I think as if now it's the only entertainment on TV but I would never like to see myself on camera like that. I would rather face the camera as an actor," Raj told IANS in a telephonic interview from Mumbai.
The actor said that he is not at all enamoured with the idea of being in such shows.
"I don't know why people do it, but it's their personal choice. If it fascinates them then that's great but it doesn't fascinate me at all. I just feel it's wrong to be a part of a reality show like 'Bigg Boss'," he added.
Raj will now be seen in an upcoming episode on "Yeh Hai Aashiqui".
Talking about his character he said: "My character is that of a Delhi boy. He is a engineering student who goes to Bihar for a marriage and falls in love with a local girl there and is later abducted."
The story of the episode of "Yeh Hai Aashiqui" will talk about the kidnapping and forced marriage of boys in Bihar.

Thankfully, I got calls for good roles during my break too. I want to do comedy but still I haven't got any offers for comedy. I want to do something different. Whatever I have done in my last 3 shows, has been different and I want to do something different with my 4th show too."

The best thing is that they never lie; they say whatever they feel whether they like it or not. I had many fan encounters when I went to Punjab. In Bangkok too, people used to recognize me as Anamika and I had to deny saying, 'I don't know what you are talking about (laughs)?'  This is the reason why I want to get back to comedy and stay in touch with my fans."

I try my level best to follow Comedy Nights With Kapil regularly. It's one of my favorite show on television right now and I would love to be a part of it. I think I am good with comedy as I have done a little bit of comedy in my first show. Anyone who is doing comedy is blessed because with so much of stress in everybody's life he/she is making other people laugh. You are just getting blessed by doing nothing and just making other people laugh. This is something which I am looking forward to. I want to make people laugh with my comedy."
We wish to see you back in a comic role very soon Simran!

Happiness has knocked doors of the Rathi family in Shashi Sumeet Productions' popular show Diya Aur Baati Hum on Star Plus. The entire Rathi family is all set to welcome a new member to their family.
According to the ongoing tracks of the show, we are seeing that all are happy as Bhabho (Neelu Vaghela) has purchased a new shop in Hanuman Gali. She is yet to announce between Emily and Meena (Kanica Maheshwari) as to whom she will hand over the keys. After the family will happily celebrate Diwali and the opening of their new shop in the locality, Emily will add more happiness as she will deliver a baby soon.
Our source says, "In the upcoming tracks of the show, Emily will deliver a baby girl making everyone happy. Emily's delivery will happen in the same hospital where Meena delivered her baby girl and was later swapped with Kanha. Meena will get a fear of the truth coming out in open."
When contacted Pooja Singh aka Emily, she said, "Emily is very happy and it can't be described in words as to how a mother she feels holding her baby in her hands. Seeing Bhabho, Mohit (Varunn Jain) and the entire family happy, Emily is feeling even more happy."

Neeta Shetty to feature in Star Plus' Arjun

I will only pick up a role if it has enough meat: Harsh Vashisht

The charming Harsh Vashisht, who was last seen as Kartar Singh in Veera (Beyond Dreams Productions) on Star Plus and also appeared in a five episode cameo role in SAB TV’s Jeannie Aur Juju (Eagle Films Productions) as a 16th century Maharaja, is currently celebrating Diwali with his near and dear ones.
Wanting to know more in detail, we spoke to the talented Harsh. “I spent my Diwali in the company of my family and friends. We had a pooja at home and shared some laughs. It is just the time when people in my house burst crackers while I am the one who generally sits indoors as I do not like it; normal fuljhadis and anaars are alright but I do not like bombs. It is just too much of noise pollution.” he informs.
Hmm…fair enough. But what about his work-life now that he has no project in hand. Is he in talks with production houses?
“Currently I am jobless,” he says laughingly.
Veera is set for a leap and if I get a call from them I would definitely pick up the show. Apart from that, this year has treated me really well; so be it episodic or a daily, I would only pick up a role if the character has got enough meat,” he ends.
Way to go Harsh. We wish you lots of luck!!!

With his first paycheck, Ruslaan Mumtaz gifts his mom a car

The very good looking Ruslaan Mumtaz, who made his TV debut with Sony Entertainment Television’s Kehta Hai Dil…Jee Le Zara (Rose Audio Visual’s Pvt Ltd), is slowly and steadily moving up the popularity chart.
And as a token of his success and happiness, the actor recently gifted his mother, the beautiful yesteryear actress Anjana Mumtaz a brand new car when he received his first paycheck.
Exclaims an elated Ruslaan, “This is not exactly the first time I have earned but moving to TV had been a strong step and I am thankful to everyone who has showered me with so much of love and appreciation. I had been planning to get a car and felt this was the right time for me to get the car and gift it to my mom from my first paycheck from the show.”
Talking more about the four-wheeler Ruslaan adds, “It’s a blue coloured Ford Ecosport. Though the cars featuring in my wish lists are all expensive, I thought of getting something that would be in my budget and what me and my mom would like. And this car fitted the bill perfectly. I drove my mom around in the car and I think she will take me on a drive next time.”
So, any plans of getting another car, we asked him. “Not in three years I think. You don’t buy cars so often. Right now I am happily excited about this new car,” he observes.
When asked what’s next on his wish list, the actor after a brief thought said, “I think I will get a good home theatre system next. Since everyone in my family loves watching films, all of us can happily sit and enjoy watching TV. And of course my mom can also see my show in a theatre like atmosphere (winks),” he avers.
Well Ruslaan, that’s like a good son! We wish you great success in all your future endeavors.

Rithvik Dhanjani anchors an episode of Bindass' Yeh Hai Aashiqui

Remember our last report on Disney Bindass’ Yeh Hai Aashiqui (Lost Boy Productions/ BBC Worldwide) anchor Vikrant Massey’s truant behavior?
If not, not to worry for here’s the ‘recap’ of our earlier story.
We had reported about Vikrant being a ‘bad boy’ on the sets of Yeh Hai Aashiqui by absconding from the scheduled shoots. And when contacted the actor he confessed that he wanted to quit the show as balancing his daily soap Qubool Hai and the Bindass project was getting really tough for him.
However, Vikrant is still a part of the show and they are trying to sort out issues with Massey and keep him on board.
But while all this is going on at the creative level there is some good news for all Rithvik Dhanjani fans.
The actor who is currently seen in Pavitra Rishta and is all set to dance with his real life partner Asha Negi on Star Plus’ Nach Baliye recently anchored an episode of Yeh Hai Aashiqui.
The artist was earlier seen acting in one of the episodes of the show however, this time he will be hosting it.
There is also a possibility of Rithvik being roped in as a permanent anchor of the show as a source tells us, “We are still trying to work out things with Vikrant but, if things don’t fall in place we might rope in Rithvik permanently.”
As per a reliable source, this one is an important story and Bollywood actor Imran Khan too will be seen promoting his upcoming flick Gori Tere Pyaar Mein in this particular episode. We had earlier reported about Imran coming in the show.

Kumud to meet with an accident; Kalika to be the only hope to save her life in Star Plus' Saraswatichandra

With Diwali gone, the lights will flicker once again in the life of Kumud (Jennifer Winget) and Saras (Gautam Rode) as Kumud faces a life threatening moment and more worries in Star Plus’ Saraswatichandra (Sphere Origins).
In the coming episode the family will be seen rejoicing the freedom of Kumud as her divorce from Pramad (Aanshul Trivedi) gets through. And suddenly the family will be shattered when Kumud’s cousin Yash (Surya Kanth) will come home with his newly married wife Kalika (Soni Singh).
With this troublemaker stepping in the house, Kumud will feel guilty of the same. She will also get into a confrontation with Kalika where she will realise that she is still in love with Saras and would want a second chance with him. She will try to convey her feelings to Saras but he will not give an ear to her.
Informs a source, “Saras will not speak properly to Kumud as he would be of the belief that she has to make up her mind once and for all whether she indeed wants to stay with him or not.”
With her family in trouble, and feeling dejected by Saras’ hard words, Kumud will be walking on the road all lost when suddenly a car will hit her. Saras will reach the spot in time and, seeing her in a pool of blood, will rush her to a nearby hospital.
“The doctors will inform him that since she has lost a lot of blood, saving her would be really difficult. She will be requiring blood from a ‘O’ negative donor, but no one in the family seem to be having the same blood group,” adds the source.
The family will be at a loss with the specific blood group not being unavailable also in the blood bank. As Saras feels guilty of Kumud’s condition, Kalika will inform that she has the matching blood group.
But will she agree on donating blood to save Kumud? How will Saras manage to save her?
